2-Isopropylthioxanthone is a Type II photoinitiator. It is typically used in combination with tertiary amines. Another major use is as a sensitizer to enhance the curing efficiency of both PL-907 and PL-369. It is soluble in most monomers, oligomers and pre-polymers but insoluble in H2O.
