The successful production of quality composites, coatings and adhesives requires monomers featuring low color and acid in addition to the appropriate inhibitor, viscosity and refractive index values. A low color raw material will enhance the appearance of the final product. The low acid value reduces the amount of inhibitor required while extending the shelf life of your product. A consistent viscosity allows you to reproduce the same product time after time.
EXOTHANE ™ Elastomers represent the most recent advances in Esstech's urethane chemistry. These versatile materials offer performance enhancements across a broad range of demanding formulations. Every application is unique and requires its own specific set of attributes. Use the unique properties of EXOTHANE Elastomers to modify formulations, without using non-reactive additives. Like many of Esstech's other products, potential applications involving EXOTHANE Elastomers can vary across many industries, from medical devices and cosmetic products, to curable coatings and adhesives. Urethane Dimethacrylates are often used in light-cure systems. Our X-850-0000, UDMA, cures to form a hard, glassy surface that is low in color and is considered bisphenol A free! Various urethane dimethacrylates have been used in anaerobic adhesive applications. This material has also been referred to as diurethane dimethacrylate, DUDMA as well as Di-HEMA Trimethylhexyl Dicarbamate. CAS 72869-86-4
FIT 852 Resin is a novel low shrink urethane monomer based on Esstech's proprietary methacrylate technology. FIT possesses a volumetric shrinkage of 2.0 - 2.5% and conversion of 65 - 80% without filler! FIT 852 Resin already equals the properties of the best finished composites on the market.
UDMA-IPDI has a higher viscosity than our X-850-0000, urethane dimethacrylate. The high molecular weight of X-851-1066 results in lower polymerization shrinkage when cured.
Our extended UDMA is commonly used in light cure systems. Its PEG 400 portion creates a more flexible polymer upon curing. Adding this product has been shown to increase the fracture toughness of urethane dimethacrylate.
(3) Bisphenol A Glycidyl Methacrylate or bis-GMA is a high viscosity resin that has been used in dental formulations for years. Our bis GMA is manufactured with low levels of BPA or bisphenol A and low color.
To simplify your formulation processes, we provide bis GMA already diluted in a 80:20 ratio with TEGDMA. Bis-GMA and triethylene glycol dimethacrylate are commonly paired in dental formulations. All of our bisGMA products carry the lowest lelvels of BPA or bisphenol A on the market.
To simplify your formulation processes, we provide bis GMA already diluted in a 50:50 ratio with TEGDMA. Bis-GMA and triethylene glycol dimethacrylate are commonly paired in dental formulations. All of our bisGMA products carry the lowest levels of bisphenol A or BPA on the market.
This form of EBPADMA has 2 to 4 units of ethoxylation and is sometimes referred to bis-EMA or Isopropylidenediphenol PEG-2 Dimethacrylate. It is often used in blends with triethyleneglycol dimethacrylate and bisGMA. This material has low levels of water sorption and a high polymerization rate. X-970-0000 has also been used in anaerobic adhesive applications. CAS # 41637-38-1
This form of EBPADMA has 6 units of ethoxylation. Increasing the ethoxylated chain length increases the mobility of the molecule and therefore it reactivity and degree of conversion.
This form of EBPADMA has 8 units of ethoxylation. Increasing the ethoxylated chain length increases the mobility of the molecule and therefore it reactivity and degree of conversion.
(4) This form of EBPADMA has 30 units of ethoxylation. It has a high degree of conversion neat and when blended with bisGMA. It also offers high levels of water sorption.
This material is highly reactive with an excellent cure speed. It cures to form a flexible polymer. Structure is Proprietary
